Individual health insurance programs are designed for individuals and families who cannot obtain health insurance through an employer. Due to the continually rising cost of medical care, it has become more important than ever to provide health insurance for you and your family.

Even if you’re in excellent shape and have very few health issues, living without health insurance puts you at great risk. An accident or a life-threatening illness can occur at anytime. You could be looking at thousands of dollars, even hundreds of thousands, in medical debt.

Do not let this happen to you. At Wilfinger Health and Life we know how confusing it can be navigating the health insurance marketplace. We carefully  evaluate insurance companies, for robust plan options and excellent customer service. Our goal is to provide you with personalized attention, identifying your needs and assisting you in finding the right health insurance package for you and your family.

Know The Affordable Care Act:

It requires non-grand fathered health plans in the individual and small group markets to cover essential health benefits (EHB), which include items and services in the following ten benefit categories:

  • ambulatory patient services

  • emergency services

  • hospitalization

  • maternity and newborn care

  • mental health and substance use disorder services including behavioral health treatment

  • prescription drugs

  • rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices

  • laboratory services

  • preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management

  • pediatric services, including oral and vision care.

2021 Open Enrollment Period: WH&L Can Help!

New & updated plans are available this year. Plans and prices change every year. Your situation may have changed too. You may find plans with coverage & features that better meet your needs

You may be automatically enrolled for 2020 — but I strongly recommend checking out new insurance plans and updating your application. If you don’t renew/update your plan by December 15, 2019, you may be automatically enrolled in the same or an automatically chosen plan if yours was eliminated.

Update your application so your 2020 financial help is correct. Financial help is based on your expected income for 2020 (not 2019). If you don't update your income and household information, your premium tax credit and other savings could be wrong.

If you are not currently enrolled, you need to enroll in an available plan by December 15, 2020, ensuring you're covered on January 1, 2021.

It may all sound confusing. I take away the confusion, stress and hassle. Contact me & schedule an appointment. I review your needs, circumstances and financial concerns, matching you with your best fit plan.
